Fai Baba auf dem Schützareal, Zürich Donnerstag, 29. Juli 2010 Menschen, welche die frühen 70er und die damals aktiven Musiker erlebt haben, tendieren zum Satz: Früher war noch alles besser. Das sagen diese Menschen aber auch nur, weil sie noch nie den rauen Garage-Psycho-Blues von Fai Baba gehört haben. Er hält seine Web-Präsenz auf einem Minimum, posiert auf Schwarz-Weiss-Photos, bevorzugt Tonträger in Vinyl und benützt mit Vorliebe Gitarren, die einiges älter sind, als er selbst. Krachmeister Fai Baba, Slow-Trash-Blues-Poet mit Hauptquartier im Schandmeilen-Quartier Zürichs, hat das Herz am rechten Fleck – wenn er es sich nicht gerade aus der Brust rockt. Heute tut er das im Rahmen der Stadtsommer-Konzerte mit zwei Begleitmusikern und exquisiten Vorgruppen auf einer Wiese beim Escher-Wyss-Platz, wo normalerweise Zigeuner hausen. Passt irgendwie.
